THE INSIDER: Healthcare professionals are suckers for sweets
THE Insider was most impressed to discover fruit alongside the usual sweet treats during the tea break at the annual Board of Healthcare Funders conference. When asked why, one exhibitor explained that it was simple — delegates know full well what is bad for them, but are lured in just as easily as kiddies by the offer of a sweetie — a bon bon wrapped in sparkly paper works far better than a pen or a pad of sticky notes, apparently. COMPANIES whose profits have taken a dive often simply lay off staff to lower their wages bill, but they may want to consider something different — introducing a short one-hour course on how to make up a bed.
Turnaround Solutions, a group associated with Productivity SA, "offers new insights and innovative ways to progress your business in SA", the website claims. However, it is entirely possible that Turnaround’s productivity solutions include a short course on bed-making.
