WHEN their father Joseph Shezi died in 1997, they buried him at the Dobsonville Cemetery in Soweto. And when their mother died in April, they wanted her to rest with him in the same grave. But the family was horrified when they found a stranger’s tombstone on their father’s grave.
And until the tombstone is removed, the family can’t perform their rituals there. Joseph’s daughter Thandi Shezi said: “We were shocked.
“We wanted our parents to be in one grave but with the tombstone erected there, it was impossible. We had to bury our mother somewhere else.
