Martyrs’ Square, in noisier times. TRIPOLI - Hundreds of pigeons have returned to Martyrs’ Square in Libyas capital. They disappeared about 50 years ago and it is not yet clear why they are back.
But many residents believe the ousting of former leader Maummar Gaddafi in 2011 has something to do with it. Residents believe it’s a good omen.
