'No Zuma Zim divide'
Analysts have warned tensions between President Jacob Zuma and ANC Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe on Zimbabwe could damage the country. While the ANC and the Presidency closed ranks yesterday on what appeared to be a split over remarks by Zuma’s aide Lindiwe Zulu, analysts said it was not right to have mixed messages coming from the Union Buildings and Luthuli House. Mantashe came out in defence of Zulu, after a vicious attack by Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe, saying she had a right to comment on elections in that country because of her role in the facilitation team.
