De Klerk discharged from hospital
Former president FW de Klerk was doing very well following a minor heart procedure on Tuesday said his spokesperson Dave Steward. De Klerk was discharged from the Panorama hospital in Cape Town after his specialist recommended that he urgently get a pacemaker after experiencing a series of dizzy spells recently. The pacemaker would regulate his heartbeat.
He recently came back to South Africa from Europe after being concerned about former President Nelson Mandela's health. De Klerk played an important role in ensuring a peaceful transition from white minority rule in South Africa to an all inclusive democratic government after Mandela's release from prison....
