Lifeline for small-scale fishers
Small-scale fishers are expected to score big when the government awards fishing rights. Last Friday was the deadline for fishers to submit applications at centres of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. While the department did not have the figures yesterday on the total number of those who submitted their applications before the end of business on Friday, scores were expected submit their applications.
